Home Suh-Weet Home!!!

Our good friends Claire and Jay and their ridiculously beautiful home are featured in the New York Times today! Jay is a rock star (Space Vacation!!) who pretty much single-handedly demolished our Valencia Street location (with a sledgehammer and an iPod full of Motorhead) before we started renovating, and Claire is an amazing interior designer who helped make our Shoppe beautiful. Every single detail in their home is amazing, check it out...you'll flip.

T Magazine

We had to cancel our subscription to the Sunday NY Times after it kept disappearing from our doorstep week after week- we tried having the delivery person ring our buzzer when they dropped it off but that meant heading downstairs to grab the paper at 4 am, so that didn't last long. Sometimes we pick up a copy at the corner store but recently we've been trying to read it online, though it's not quite the same... though their website is really quite amazing. Anyway I just read onThe Moment blog (which I love) that the Spring 2009 Design issue of T Magazine has been posted online, and I'm excited to check it out. Here are some good images I found on my first perusal:

Grand Opening - Light Vision!!

Those of you who know us have no doubt heard us brag about our Shoppe Manager Aurora. She's the best! And like so many of our awesome friends, she's a multi-talented superstar. She's the mastermind behind not only the googly eye hairclips and fruit we sell at our Shoppe, but has also created a line of beautiful, sculptural, super snuggly, crocheted neck cozies available exclusively at a brand-spanking new online boutique called Light Vision. We've been loving our neck cozies for a while...and now you can love one too! So check out this cool new boutique and get your very own Aurora-made cozy right now!!!

Pop Up Magazine!!

Hey Friends!
We’re thrilled to announce an awesome upcoming event that we’ve had the pleasure of helping to produce. It’s called Pop Up Magazine and you (and all your friends) have got to come.

What the heck is Pop-Up Magazine? It is an evening of talking, film, reading, radio, photography, and interviews. All short, fast, mixed up, and served to an audience at the amazing Brava Theater in San Francisco's Mission district, with a party to follow. The night will unfold like a magazine. Short stuff in the front, longer stuff in the back.

Pop Up Magazine will be one night only, Wednesday April 22nd, so GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!!

Some of our favorite writers, photographers, filmmakers, and radio folk EVER are going to be there...
