catcher in the rye....as an alternative to "the great gatsby", read the real story, "living well is the best revenge".

Gatsby.No contest.
I gotta go with Gatsby.
Why do you have to make these SO difficult!? Gotta go with Gatsby though, simply on account of how many times I've read it.
It's a timing thing for me...as an angsty youth...Catcher. As I got older...Gatsby...since I'm older now....still Gatsby.
catcher by a nose
best thing about catcher in the rye : everyone can relate to itworst thing about catcher in the rye : everyone relates to iti'm a gatsby girl fo sho
Catcher in the Rye, but I think I've got to give Gatsby another shot...
I've been thinking about it all week and I still can't decide... my gut tells me to go with Catcher in the Rye, so I guess that's the one.
It's tough, both are very good books that fail to be great, and in my view overshadow better works by their respective authors. That said, I'll go with Gatsby.
