Yesterday as Aurora and I were busy packing up web orders in the shoppe, we peeked out the window and noticed that someone had set up a little photo studio out front and was taking portraits of people on the street. Turns out that they were from a local arts organization called Curbs and Stoops, and they were working on a project called "Mission Portraits". We were convinced to get our pictures taken after they took our friend Nate and our UPS guy Damian's photos. Since they are our two favorite mustachioed buddies, we grabbed a couple wooden mustaches from the shoppe and joined in the club.
Click here to see the rest of the portraits - a good example of the types of folks who pass by our shoppe on a typical day in the Mission. You can read more about the project on the Curbs and Stoops blog.
