Remembering Sid

We were sad to hear that Sidney Laverents passed away last week. He was an amazing filmmaker, musician, and engineer whose ambitious and technically remarkable home movies garnered him a certain sort of fame amongst amateur and professional filmmakers alike. About 10 years ago Sid sent us some of his films (on VHS) including "Multiple Sidosis" (above) and a few other great comedies and nature films he had made over the years. We loved his creativity, his curiosity, and the exceptional enthusiasm he showed not only for film, but for life in general. He was a classic enthusiast and tinkerer. He was 100 years old. We'll miss you Sid!!
