We were talking with some friends about patents recently, and Google's semi-new patent search feature. As you can imagine, there are quite a few bizarre patents out there, including this awesome "musical instrument support" filed by Eddie Van Halen in 1987. You can see from the illustration above how this innovative device leaves "both hands free to explore the musical instrument as never before." Totally brilliant. (Thanks Anton for the link!)
