I brought my sewing machine and a small stack of flea market fabric home last weekend and set up a little at-home crafting station in our kitchen. Since then D and I have been practicing our sewing... together! He is getting quite good with the machine, and stitched up the entire back of this tie by hand. Hurray for boys who craft!

That's so cute! Bonding time:-)
sew perfect.... wow derek... a tie?!
that is ambitious working on the bias.
and a perfect knot!
Aside from the handstitching, I swear it was getting that knot right that took the most time...
Just discovered your blog and was drawn to this post. My husband and i have started doing some crafty bits together and i absolutely love it! he won't freely admit it (it's not cool for a 28 year old man to make bears out of gloves), but i know he likes it too!
xx.
